Made a hole to gain easier access to the diff mount. Now solid mounted it's far more of a pain to gain leverage. So made a blanking plate out of alloy, Dzus latches and some rubber edge seal. Quick mock up, but will need to tidy it up more.

Sourced a fairly decent carbon spare wheel holder from a rally Evo. Needs flatting and lacquering, but it's good shape. All fitted today.

Finally got a hold of an ST170 spoiler, which is really difficult because they just crumble when you try to take it off another tailgate. So rubbed it down, did some painting, flatting and buffing before fitting. Not the most outrageous of spoilers, but my car really needed it to finish the rear end off.

Wing mirrors taken a bit of a beating over the years too, so sorted them out too.

Cambelt sorted and a few other little bits. Scary tensioner bolt, but now replaced. Running well :)

And a video...

New colour on her shoes and some new sticky rubber :)

Update! Ripped out the entire interior today and fitted some nice new carbon rear quarter cards. Just waiting on Raj @ Autoflock to knock me up some front door panels and I'm done with the interior. Saved a bit of weight there :)

So I had an issue on my flocked dash, where a section had worn near enough bare due to constant friction from working on the car etc. So thought I'd have a crack at carbon skinning the section, because touching up flocking would just look terrible.

So got everything individually off ebay. Pretty cheap, but the process is just made so much harder because it's quite an awkward shape to work with. But it's a bit of trial and error with a lot of sanding to get it right.

Final polish of carbon and seals all finished off to neaten up the edges. Just waiting on the plaques off Dave now to cover the dip in the middle and it's all done.

Might make a centre console around the handbrake and gear stick next :)

One of these 200mm long plaques will cover the dip in the middle of the carbon. Some WRC cars I've seen with just the Ford logo, hence both being made. Nice touch though.

Synchros for gearbox arrived, so hopefully all rebuilt next week. And my front carbon door cards have been made (a little dusty!). Just need to cut out the interior door handle and fit them.

Carbon goodness continues :)

Added some strong LED's to replace the standard lighting setup inside the stripped out interior.

Trying to slide on sticky RS-R tyres and a 6 degree beam at 3 Sister Track in Wigan :) Ordered some harder coilover spings for the front, really needed!

MOT time today, passed! :)

Needed a new actuator too, old one a little weak.

Polished and ready for the Germany trip next week :)

New tyre, bearing and rotor fitted; all of which didn't need changing in pairs because they were all very new (apart from the bearing). So fitted them last night after work. Just need to find the time to sort the head now and then back to the Nurburgring in September :)
